More than 70% of illicit drug users and 80-90% of alcohol abusers are employed in the workforce.  In order to help managers and employees deal with substance abuse and other personal problems, the EAP consortium was established.

The EAP Consortium Provides:

  • assessment

  • crisis intervention

  • assistance with managed care issues

  • referral and follow-up services for employees and their dependents

  • wellness presentations for staff

  • training for managers

  • employee orientations

  • analysis of employee benefits and workplace policies

  • ongoing consultation and referral.

The goal of the consortium is to protect the well-being of employees and their families so that high levels of workplace safety, health and productivity are maintained.

Currently the following residential child care agencies participate in the consortium:

  • Lincoln Hall
  • Leake and Watts
  • Children’s Village
  • Abbot House
  • Richmond Children’s Center
